Ploeky is a simple blog software written with PHP. It supports MySQL database. Features includes providing RSS feeds of blog entries.
Ploeky is open source and is licenced with GNU General Public Licence (also known as GNU GPL) version 2.
Ploeky project started in 2004 in purpose to make a simple blog software for personal use. Some new features and upgrades were made during the years, whenever needed. Now Ploeky was finally evolved to a fully working simple blog. I thought open sourcing it would help it to gain more stability.
Ploeky idea is: keep it simple. No huge features, no WYSIWYG editors or fancy decorations. Ploeky allows simple HTML tags on posts and strips other unwanted tags away.
Since version 1.8.4 there's support for mobile mode, where view is suited better for mobile devices and limited screen resolution. When uploading an image to a Ploeky installation and linking it in your post, there will be a mobile optimized version of it.
Nokia Lifeblog can be installed on a Nokia mobile phone. Ploeky installation can be setuped to Lifeblog and new entries can be made on the road. Ploeky supports images sent by Lifeblog. So just take a picture and upload it to your Ploeky blog directly from your mobile phone.
REMARK: Ploeky does not yet support new Nokia Photos.
